Redskins Rides –
Chris lets Washington Redskins fans go up close and personal with his Harley-Davidson Street Glide Motorcycle
Hey Redskins Fans! As all of you know, we still have shot at making the playoffs. We cannot give up or lose hope just yet. Our boys have been playing amazing and we believe that they will go all the way. We wanted to bring you something different for this edition of Redskins Rides presented by Easterns Automotive Group along with the Washington Redskins. The camera crew met with Chris at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia where he showed off his black and burgundy 2011 Harley-Davidson Street Glide motorcycle. His bike is so unique that there was no way we couldn’t share it with you all. Chris has been a diehard Redskins fan for years and decided to express it through his bike. At first glance, all eyes go to the huge wheel in the front of the bike. This is because Chris replaced the original wheel on the bike with an aftermarket 30 inch wheel that has a rat fender. The front and rear air suspension definitely adds a layer of cool to the motorcycle. Chris added a custom fender that adds a dramatic effect to the rear of the bike. The detail on the paint and custom seats is what really takes it up a notch from your every day Harley-Davidson that you may see on the road. It definitely has a Darth Vader feel. We have to thank Chris for taking the time to show off his amazing bike with us! Please stay tuned for more Redskins Rides in DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. Easterns and the Washington Redskins got you covered! #HTTR
Happy Holidays Washington Redskins fans! We thought it would be a great time to share a new edition of Redskins Rides with you all. For this segment, Donnell is giving fans a close look at a custom Redskins ride that he calls his own. He is the proud owner of a Dodge Avenger sedan that has been completely modified to match the Redskins colors. The color of the car is exact burgundy of the Redskins official colors. The car is complete with Redskins decals and stickers in various parts of the vehicle. The four Redskins fags in the back of the car really take his ride up a notch. Donnell’s favorite player is the late Sean Taylor who just recently celebrated 11 year death anniversary. Taylor was a staple player for the Redskins and Donnell chose to celebrate him by adding Taylor’s picture on the back windows to help people remember him and keep his legacy alive. Once you step inside the vehicle, you will see Redskins seat covers as well. Some might argue that it’s a bit too much but Donnell is a huge hit in his neighborhood and wherever he goes. We are so appreciative of him taking the time to come down to Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia and show off his ride. Please stay tuned for more Redskins Rides in DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. Easterns and the Washington Redskins got you covered! #HTTR
It’s looking good for us Washington Redskins fans! The Redskins are still holding the number one spot in the NFC East. We thought that it would only be right to have a team player for this edition of Redskins Rides presented by Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors) and the Washington Redskins. Cameras caught up with Redskins’ wide receiver, Josh Doctson to give fans a tour of his personal ride. He made his NFL draft debut back in 2016 when the Redskins selected him in the first sound. Since then, Doctson has made great contributions to the team with 60 receptions, 804 receiving yards, and 8 receiving touchdowns to date. Doctson is the proud owner of a 435 horsepower 2016 Ford Mustang GT. The matte aluminum paint paired black 20 inch wheels really gives it a unique spark that isn’t often seen on Mustangs. You just may see him on the road if you are in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. We are so happy that Doctson took the time to show off his very special Redskins Ride. Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides in DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. Easterns and the Washington Redskins got you covered! Go Skins! #HTTR
Hello Washington Redskins fans! It feels great knowing that we are currently 1st in the NFC East. In honor of this great news, we thought it would only be right to share a new edition of Redskins Rides with you all presented by Easterns Automotive Group and the Washington Redskins. Both organizations caught up with Kelvin Thomas at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia. Thomas is a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from Richmond, Virginia. He has been a Redskins fan for his whole life and wanted a car to pay homage to his love for the team. Thomas is the proud owner of a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria that he turned into his every day car. This is the ultimate Redskins Ride because he got it wrapped with custom Redskins graphics. The wrap is extremely detailed showcasing images of players, Redskins logos, and even his Twitter name. One of the images on the car is the late Sean Taylor during his time playing for the Washington Redskins. Everything is so clear, well executed, and neatly positioned on the vehicle. It almost reminds you of a moving billboard. The 22 inch wheels really take his ride up a notch and give it a bold look. We have to thank Kelvin for his loyalty and support. Please stay tuned for more Redskins Rides in DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. Easterns and the Washington Redskins got you covered! HTTR
Washington Redskins fans – we’re back! We couldn’t leave you guys hanging too long without another episode of Redskins Rides presented by Easterns Automotive Group along with the Washington Redskins. Charles McGlone recently came down to Redskins Park in Ashburn, VA to showcase his classic 1971 Pontiac GT-37. What makes his ride so remarkable is that he kept everything stock on the vehicle on both the interior and exterior. He managed to add some Redskins headrest covers for fun. The shiny red paint is reminiscent of the team’s official burgundy color. McGlone participates in many of the tailgate parties where he shows his vehicle off. The car is a big hit amongst Redskins fans that have already seen it. We’re so glad that McGlone took the time to show off his very special Redskins Rides. Please stay truned for more Redskins Rides in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. Easterns and the Washington Redskins got you covered! Go Skins! #HTTR!
Hello Washington Redskins fans! I’m sure you all are still recovering from celebrating last night’s win against the Dallas Cowboys. We thought it would only be right to share a new edition of Redskins Rides featuring a very cool car that you all may know. Long time Redskins fans, Glen and Vicky are proud owners of a DeLorean DMC-12. Most people know this car for being the time machine car that was featured in the Back to the Future franchise. Only about 9,000 DMC-12’s were made before production stopped. Glen purchased this car from eBay last year after debating for over 10 years whether or not he would purchase one. The two Redskins flags on the back of the car are the perfect accessory that doesn’t take anything away from the rare beauty. The back of the DeLorean has a flux capacitor which is a core component of the time machine. We want to thank this lovely couple for taking the time to share their awesome rare Redskins Ride with us. Please stay tuned for more Redskins Rides in DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. Easterns and the Washington Redskins got you covered! Number one in NFC East! #HTTR
We couldn’t leave you guys too long without another edition of our Redskins Rides series presented by Easterns Automotive Group and the Washington Redskins. Tim Castle and Nick Bernardo are proud owners of a 1986 Ford F-250 John Riggins Signature Series pickup truck. For those who don’t know, John Riggins was a running back for the Washington Redskins from 1976-1865. Riggins broke numerous NFL records during his time with the Redskins and even played a major role in the Redskins winning Super Bowl XVII against the Miami Dolphins. He was named MVP the same year of the big Super Bowl win. Ford approached him with his own campaign to design his very own John Riggins Signature Series Pickup. Riggins chose the color to be burgundy with gold stripes to match the Redskins colors. Luckily for Tim and Nick, they were able to get their hands on this truck even though there was only a limited quantity made. They took the level of customization to another level by turning the stripes on the interior and exterior to arrows. This pickup even has a train horn on the back. Wow, what a unique classic! We are so happy that these two gentlemen took the time to show us a part of Washington Redskins history. This Redskins Ride is truly a piece of memorabilia. Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides in DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. Easterns and the Washington Redskins got you covered! Go Skins! #HTTR
It’s time for another edition of Redskins Rides presented by Easterns Automotive Group along with the Washington Redskins. This is the second week that we have a Redskins player putting his ride on display and giving us a tour. Former defensive back, DeAngelo Hall joined forces with the Redskins Rides team to show off his 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle. This car is very sentimental to Hall because it is the very first car that he purchased when he entered the NFL. He made it is own by replacing the original engine with a 2010 Chevy Corvette Z06 engine. Many car enthusiasts wouldn’t agree with doing this because they prefer to keep classic cars stock. However, Hall did what was the best fit for him and his everyday lifestyle. The bold silver metallic paint has an awesome shine when hit by the sun. We are so happy that Hall took the time to show off his very special Redskins Ride. Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides in DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. Welcome back to Easterns University! We hope that you all enjoyed seeing Ryan Kerrigan, Josh Norman, and Jamison Crowder welcome Alex Smith to the Washington Redskins and teach him a few things. In Class Two, we pick up right where we left off. Kerrigan leads the class by discussing the importance of Easterns and why the automotive division is so important to the DMV community. Easterns sells cars to the hard working men and women and DC, Maryland, and Virginia. The fact that Easterns always has 1,000 cars separates them from other car dealers. The only drawback of driving in this area is the crazy amount of traffic that commuters face every day. Norman takes over speaking by telling Smith about “the secret sauce” aka mumbo sauce. Crowder passed a bottle of mumbo sauce to Smith so he can take it him and try it out. Anyone from the DMV will tell you how important mumbo sauce is to the culture. It is a sauce that goes on everything from chicken to french fries and more. We look forward to sharing the rest of this segment with you all. More clips to come! Always remember – At Eastern Motors, your job is your credit!
Welcome to Easterns University! In this series of clips, our guys Josh Norman, Ryan Kerrigan, and Jamison Crowder of the Washington Redskins welcome Alex Smith to the DMV. They teach Smith a few things about the culture surrounding the area as well as the importance of Eastern Motors. Smith is the latest addition to the Redskins after being traded by the Kansas City Chiefs in early 2018. Class One of Easterns University starts by Norman breaking down the widely used DMV acronym for DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Kerrigan takes control of the class by explaining how Easterns has been a trusted car dealer in the area for over 30 years. All three of the guys gather around Smith and explain that he must learn about Go-Go music because it is so important to the culture. Crowder passes Smith a Chuck Brown CD and encourages him to do his homework because Chuck Brown is “The Godfather of Go-Go”. We look forward to sharing the rest of this segment with you all. More clips to come! Always remember – At Eastern Motors, your job is your credit!
We’re back again to bring you a very special edition of Redskins Rides presented by Easterns Automotive Group and the Washington Redskins. This week, we are showcasing the ride of Josh Harvey-Clemons who is a linebacker for the Redskins. Harvey-Clemons is the proud owner of an all black 2017 Chevy Silverado Z71 Realtree Edition. What makes his ride so special is the camouflage interior, 6.5’’ suspension lift kit, and the 20 inch XD Series wheels. The murdered out truck stands out from the crowd and commands attention wherever it is. If you live in the DMV, you just may see this beauty on the road or even possibly at Fed-Ex Field during one of the Redskins games. We want to thank Harvey-Clemons for being the very first Redskins player to showcase his very own personal Redskins Ride. Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides in DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. Easterns and the Washington Redskins got you covered! Go Skins! #HTTR
Welcome back! We have a special Throwback Thursday Clip of the week for you guys. We must start out this blog by congratulating the Washington Capitals. Alex Ovechkin helped lead the Capitals to their first ever NHL Stanley Cup win last week against the Golden Knights. Ovechkin was also the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy since he was voted most valuable player (MVP). The energy throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area has been electrifying since the big win. The team celebrated a few days ago with Capitals’ Stanley Cup parade on Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C. where an estimated 100,000 fans attended.
In honor of the big win, we thought it would be only right to post an Ovechkin throwback clip with Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors) for you guys to enjoy. In this clip from 2009, Ovechkin is cornered in by Chris Cooley and Antwaan Randle El in the locker room. Both Cooley and Randle El played for the Washington Redskins at the time. Ovechkin put a helmet on and told the guys that he too could play football. The guys put Ovechkin to the test but clearly he wasn’t fit for the NFL. Perhaps he’ll stick to hockey. Watch the clip below to see for yourself!

June is off to a great start! Last week, Easterns Automotive Group was joined by some players from the Washington Redskins to shoot a new commercial. Eastern Motors commercials at this point are renowned and celebrated across the world. Each year these commercials seem to take on a life of their own and get the people talking. Larry Michael, the Voice of the Redskins, came by to chat with the players about their experience filming with Easterns. He was joined by Josh Norman, Alex Smith, Ryan Kerrigan, and Jamison Crowder. However, this is not Norman’s and Kerrigan’s first rodeo. The two have been a part of the Easterns All Star team since 2016 along with Kirk Cousins before he got traded to the Minnesota Vikings. Smith and Crowder on the other hand are newbies. All of the guys were excited to shoot and had a fun time welcoming Smith to the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Let’s just say excited can’t even begin to describe how we feel going into the 2018 Redskins season. These guys are ready to win it all. This upcoming series of commercials just may be the best yet. Stay tuned for what is coming in the next few months. We’ll be bringing you the news first!

Guess what day it is? Thursday! This means that it is time for another Throwback Thursday Clip of the week presented by Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors). In 2016, upon his arrival to the DMV area to play for the Washington Redskins, Josh Norman became a part of the Easterns All Star team with Ryan Kerrigan and Kirk Cousins. Norman has shot a variety of commercials since then but this clip is one that stuck out. During a 2016 Washington Redskins game against the Cleveland Browns, Norman pretended to shoot an imaginary bow and arrow in the air to celebrate his interception. He was flagged and fined $10,000 by the NFL because they felt that the gesture simulated violence. The discussion grew when former New Orleans Saints player, Brandin Cooks was thrown into the mix since he has been doing the gesture for years and has never been penalized. Norman felt that the NFL organization was singling him out and making an example out of him.
In the Throwback Thursday clip, Norman is shown attempting to do the same bow and arrow celebration but was stopped by someone yelling, “No!” It was a fun skit to remake because there was never any harm meant in the first place. Norman is not a violent person nor does he condone that type of behavior so for it was just strange for people to imply violence behind the celebratory gesture. In fact, Norman is one of the few players to start his very own foundation in DC “Starz24” to help support children in the local community. Click Here to find out more about Josh Norman’s Starz24 foundation.
Easterns fans! Redskins fans! We are back with another Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week. This week, we have a clip from 2016 starring Redskins linebacker and number 91, Ryan Kerrigan. He shot this particular clip as well as a series of others both individually and with the help of his teammates Kirk Cousins and Josh Norman. The overall goal of this clip was for Kerrigan to explain to fans and viewers what hard work means to him pertaining to his football career. With Kerrigan having to endure so much throughout his career, he definitely understands the importance of sacrifice, consistency, and work ethic. This partnership with Kerrigan made sense because Easterns sells cars to the hard working men and women of the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. These are the folks that can definitely relate to working hard and fighting to achieve what they want! Easterns has 6 stores located conveniently throughout the DMV area – with a brand new location in Alexandria, Virginia (611 S Pickett St). Please feel free to stop by and visit!
It’s that time of the week! We are back with another Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week presented by Easterns Automotive Group. This week, we have chosen to highlight none other than the cornerback for the Washington Redskins, Josh Norman. Easterns recruited Norman for commercials shortly after he signed his $75 million dollar deal with the Redskins. A deal that made him the highest paid cornerback in NFL history at the time. In this clip, Norman discusses the importance of believing yourself and working hard to overcome any fear or doubt. This is something that anyone can relate to despite their gender, race, or financial status. Norman’s teammates Kirk Cousins and Ryan Kerrigan also shot commercials both individually and together during this time. These three together make up what is known as the Easterns All Star Team.
Norman was a great addition to the Easterns family because of core values and what he represents both on and off the field. He understands the importance of hard work, dedication and being a part of the community. His reliability caused the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community to receive him with open arms. Easterns sells cars to the hard working men and women in the DMV area.
