Josh Norman of the Washington Redskins recently came to the Eastern Motors headquarters in Sterling, Virginia to film a series of commercial spots. He really believes in the Easterns brand and is very excited to have another family that extends beyond the Redskins organization. Of course, Norman didn’t come alone. He came with two of his teammates, Ryan Kerrigan and Kirk Cousins. The three of them collectively make up what is known as the Easterns All Star Team. Whenever Easterns can manage to get these guys together off the field, you can be sure there will be nothing but laughter and good times. They each shot their own individual commercials that will be posted in the next few weeks but we first wanted to share Norman’s 6 Seconds. This is just a brief introduction and a small preview of many come. Stay tuned for more!

It’s been a little while since our last Redskins Rides blog post. We hope that you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday with your family, friends, and loved ones. We couldn’t leave you guys hanging for long! Easterns Automotive Group has teamed up with the Washington Redskins once again for another edition of Redskins Rides. Ryan Kerrigan met with Richard at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia to get an up-close and personal look at his unique whip. Richard is the proud owner of a lime green 1936 Chevy Coach. This coach is different from a sedan in that it is a two-door and that it is much more compact in size. Richard purchased this beauty about five months ago in Nashville, Tennessee. The unusual color caught his attention and ultimately led him to make the purchase. It has a brand new 350 fuel injection under the hood as well as a pristine cream interior. It’s clear that he has a great eye for cars because this was definitely an awesome classic car purchase. We want to thank Richard for taking the time to show off his custom Redskins Rides. Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides in DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. Easterns and the Washington Redskins got you covered!
We’re back! Reporting live from Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia where we just filmed a brand new edition of Redskins Rides. Redskins Rides is brought to you by Easterns Automotive Group along with the Washington Redskins. Easterns thought that the perfect person for this segment would be defensive end, Anthony Lanier II. With Lanier being such a tall guy at 6’6”, they definitely wanted to give him a Redskins Ride that he could actually relate to. He met his match with PJ and Val. These two are the proud owners of the super spacious 2008 Ford F-350 Lariat Super Duty pickup truck. The first noticeable attribute of the truck is how high it sits off the ground. The rims and tires are huge! Val purchased the truck in stock condition a few years ago from a friend. He has spent the last three years customizing the truck to fit his tailgating needs. Since being introduced to American football by a friend, Val loves traveling in his truck to different cities and attending various NFL games. We want to thank Val and PJ for taking the time to show us their custom Redskins Ride. Stay tuned for many more Redskins Rides in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community.
Back again! This week we have a great edition of Redskins Rides in store for you all on behalf of Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors) and the Washington Redskins. This edition is very unique because it is the very first time we have featured a trike. A trike is a 3 wheeled bike in this case it’s also in the form of a motorcycle. Kari met up with Chris Thompson of the Redskins at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia to discuss her unique ride. Kari is the proud owner of a 2016 Boss Hoss 450 with a 1957 Chevy engine. It doesn’t get much more astonishing than that! The royal blue paint with the silver stripes makes it look like a beast. She gets a lot of attention on the road because most people are just blown away by the custom design and the fact that it’s a motorcycle on 3 wheels. Her favorite customization on the bike is the name “Sparkle” that she got put on the trunk. The reason she chose that name is because of her love for jewelry and sparkly items. This trike is amazing! We want to thank Kari for giving us an exclusive look at her custom ride. Stay tuned for many more Redskins Rides in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community.
A new week means we’re back to bring you a new edition of Redskins Rides presented by Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors) and the Washington Redskins. Last night the Redskins won their game over the Seahawks so of course everyone in the DMV metro area is very excited. Among those that were ecstatic was Jim, a lifelong Redskins fan. Jim met up with Chris Thompson of the Redskins at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia to discuss his very own Redskins Ride. Jim is the proud owner of a 1956 Chevy Bel Air (hard top edition). Shortly after Jim purchased the vehicle, he got it painted a custom burgundy metallic color with gold flakes in the paint. When the sun hits the paint it makes the car look so magnificent. We’ve been asking around to see if anyone has seen a Bel Air quite like Jim’s but so far the unanimous answer has been no. There are even Redskins flags on top of both windows that wave in the wind while the car is in motion. This entire project of customizing the car and making it personal has been a labor of love for Jim. It has become something that he thoroughly enjoys doing. He informed us that he has been a Redskins season ticket holder since 1967. Wow! There is no denying that Jim is a diehard Skins fan. Awesome ride! We want to thank him for giving is an exclusive look at his custom ride. Stay tuned for many more Redskins Rides in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community.
Hello, beautiful people! This week, we have doubled the fun for you all. Of course that means we have another edition of Redskins Rides but we have two amazing rides this time. We recently met with both Daniel and Jesse at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia to see their awesome cars. They both own a 1963 Chevy Impala but they are both different from each other yet unique in their own way. Daniel purchased his 1963 Impala convertible back in 2005 and is a member of Individuals Car Club of Woodbridge, Virginia. He found the car in Ontario, Canada and brought it to the DMV area where he has been working on it ever since. The teal metallic paint job with the custom paint designs definitely separates this Impala from the rest. The part of this Impala that really makes it stand on its own is the custom aircraft hydraulic system that Daniel had installed in the trunk.
Jesse has owned his fire engine red Chevy Impala for about 12 years. The car caught on fire last year causing him to have to re-do the entire vehicle all over again. Like Daniel, his Redskins Ride also has a hydraulic system. He discussed the excitement that people have when they see the car on hydraulics. Most people have only seen hydraulics on television so it’s definitely quite amazing to see in person. Originally, Jesse’s plan was just to have the car painted plain red. The painter showed Jesse some custom paint panels that he just couldn’t decline. It all worked out in the end because you definitely won’t see another Impala like it. Amazing rides, fellas! We want to thank this gentleman for giving us an exclusive look at their rides. Stay tuned for many more Redskins Rides in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community.
We’re back this week to bring you the latest edition of Redskins Rides presented by Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors) and the Washington Redskins. Chris Thompson of the Redskins was recruited to speak to Maryland resident, John regarding his custom Redskins Ride. John is the proud owner of a custom 2016 Subaru WRX. Everything on the car is custom, which makes it very unique. The reason that John made modifications to his WRX is because he wanted a car that would be perfect for off-roading, drag racing, and of course every day use. The custom paint job on his WRX definitely has a burgundy/red undertone that is reminiscent of colors of the Redskins jersey. The racing seats definitely give the car that Need for Speed and Fast and Furious feeling. John told Thompson that one of his favorite customizations on this car is the custom Maryland flag mud flaps. It’s very apparent that John takes a lot of pride in being a Maryland resident. People ask him all the time how fast his car can go but he prefers for them to see for themselves out on the track. You definitely can’t go wrong when combining amazing cars with the Washington Redskins. Incredible Subaru, John! We want to thank this gentleman for giving us an exclusive look at his ride. Stay tuned for many more Redskins Rides in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community.
Another week means another segment of Redskins Rides! The Redskins Rides series was created by the Washington Redskins and Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors). The goal and purpose of Redskins Rides is to give fans an opportunity and a platform to show off their amazing vehicles people all over the world. For this week’s segment, Dustin Hopkins of the Washington Redskins was recruited by Easterns to conduct the interview. Hopkins met up with John at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia to discuss his Redskins Ride. John is the proud owner of a 1967 Corvette Stingray that he’s had for the last 5 years. The new custom metallic sky blue paint job is what really sets it off and makes it stand out amongst other Corvettes. He purchased the car during a time when he was looking for a project to work on. John knew the car needed work but that’s what excited him because he knew that he would be able to get the job done. When Hopkins asked John about his attendance at car shows, he made it be known that car shows really aren’t his cup of tea. This opportunity caught his attention because he is an avid Redskins fan. You definitely can’t go wrong when combining amazing cars with the Washington Redskins. Great ride, John! We want to thank this gentleman for giving us an exclusive look at his ride. Stay tuned for many more Redskins Rides in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community.
Hello, beautiful people! We’ve come to deliver a brand new Redskins Rides segment presented by Easterns Automotive Group along with the Washington Redskins. This week’s segment is different than the others in that we have not just one ride but two. Ryan Kerrigan of the Washington Redskins met up with Andrew and his Bat Ladies (Mary & Kris) at Redskins Park to discuss his custom Batman-themed rides. Andrew has loved Batman since him and his wife got married over 40 years ago and he carried her around the house in a Batman costume. His love for Batman led to him and his sons opening a business called Batman Handyman Service in Loudoun County, Virginia. The women with Andrew in the video are his secretaries, Mary and Kris. These two are known as the Bat Ladies whenever they accompany Andrew. The Chevy Camaro ZL1 is complete with a 6.2L V8 engine and 650 horsepower. This ride is murdered out with a custom black paint job with burgundy accents, black wheels, and super dark tint. If there is any car that resembles the Batmobile, this is the one. The small details are what really make this car special such as the Batman art work, Batman logo headrest, and the memorabilia. Andrew also owns a custom Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle that he calls his “Batbike”. It is all black just like the Camaro with a splash of burgundy trim. Andrew even has a Batman helmet. It doesn’t get any more awesome than that! We would like to thank Andrew for sharing not only his two Redskins Rides with us but also his love for Batman. Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides!
We’re back again with another segment of Redskins Rides presented by the Washington Redskins and Easterns Automotive Group. For this week’s segment, Easterns thought it was only right to recruit not only a Washington Redskins player but also a member of their very own All Star Team. They selected Ryan Kerrigan who is the linebacker for the Redskins who has also starred in several commercials for Eastern Motors. Kerrigan met up with Rod and his two sons at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia to discuss his amazing ride. Rod has a 2005 Ford F-650 5.9-liter Cummins engine and an Allison transmission. He is an avid Redskins fan that converted this truck into a Redskins Ride about five years ago when he purchased it. The truck is complete with a custom burgundy paint job to match the team colors and also two large Redskins flags that hang on the back pick-up portion of the truck. This huge loud truck will definitely make you turn your head it drives by. We would like to thank Rod and his two sons for taking the time to show off and discuss their souped-up truck with Kerrigan. It’s such a joy to meet amazing fans and give them an opportunity and platform to share their amazing vehicles. Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides!
A new week means a new Redskins Rides segment from Easterns Automotive Group and the Washington Redskins. This week, father son duo Caleb and Ron showed off their custom Redskins-themed 2003 Corvette to Dustin Hopkins of the Redskins. The yellow and burgundy paint combination catches your eye as soon you see the car. This is truly a one of a kind Corvette. Ron has been a Redskins fan his whole life. His son followed in his footsteps and grew to love the team as well. They discussed the attention that they receive at the home games when they drive the car. Their Corvette is complete with a custom Redskins paint job, team logos/badges, and a trunk full of memorabilia that these two have collected over the years. Ron told Dustin that people always offer food, memorabilia, and of course they want to take pictures with the car. You’re more than likely to see this ride in the green parking lot during any of the Redskins home games. Tell Caleb and Ron that we sent you! We would like to thank these two for showing off their amazing ride. Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides!
We’re back for the second week of the Redskins Rides segment that the Washington Redskins and Easterns have partnered up for. For this segment, Easterns recruited Chris Thompson who is a running back for the Redskins. Chris met up with Craig and Robert to talk to them and discuss their 1963 Chevy (Chevrolet) Corvette. There are several aspects of this Corvette that make is unique than some that one might see on the street. This car is 1 out of 10,594 Corvettes made in 1963 that have the split window in the back. This was also the only year that Chevy made Corvettes with the split window. Seeing a Corvette like this is rare in itself but owning one is almost unheard of. Craig and Robert purchased this car after it was previously in a wreck and re-built it from the ground up. The headlights on this Corvette also rotate down when not in use and then up when they are on. Sick! This is a true Redskins ride because the color of the car almost matches the color of the Redskins jersey that Thompson is wearing. We love it! We have to thank these two for giving us an exclusive look at their ride. Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides!
For years, Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors) has hosted their annual Redskins Rides car show event at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia. Redskins fans from all over the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community travel to come enjoy a day of fun, cars, and of course Washington Redskins players. Only the best of the best in the area and the world of cars enter to be in the car show every single year. However, this year they thought it was time to switch things up. Easterns thought it would be a great idea to highlight some of the best and most special vehicles that entered. In the clip below, Dustin Hopkins and Anthony Lanier II are seen accompanied by Vince to discuss and show off his custom Redskins’ themed Slingshot Polaris. This ride is special in so many different ways especially because of the detail that was put into the design. Different parts of the Polaris are decorated with pictures and memories of the late Sean Taylor that played for the Redskins from 2004 to 2007 before he was killed. Vince spoke about the attention that he gets while driving the vehicle and also for often being mistaken for a Redskins player. Fans have even approached him for autographs. Though it’s all in fun, Vince clearly loves the attention that he gets for representing the NFL team he loves. Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides!
