We’re back again to bring you a very special edition of Redskins Rides presented by Easterns Automotive Group and the Washington Redskins. This week, we are showcasing the ride of Josh Harvey-Clemons who is a linebacker for the Redskins. Harvey-Clemons is the proud owner of an all black 2017 Chevy Silverado Z71 Realtree Edition. What makes his ride so special is the camouflage interior, 6.5’’ suspension lift kit, and the 20 inch XD Series wheels. The murdered out truck stands out from the crowd and commands attention wherever it is. If you live in the DMV, you just may see this beauty on the road or even possibly at Fed-Ex Field during one of the Redskins games. We want to thank Harvey-Clemons for being the very first Redskins player to showcase his very own personal Redskins Ride. Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides in DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. Easterns and the Washington Redskins got you covered! Go Skins! #HTTR
Welcome back! We have a special Throwback Thursday Clip of the week for you guys. We must start out this blog by congratulating the Washington Capitals. Alex Ovechkin helped lead the Capitals to their first ever NHL Stanley Cup win last week against the Golden Knights. Ovechkin was also the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy since he was voted most valuable player (MVP). The energy throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area has been electrifying since the big win. The team celebrated a few days ago with Capitals’ Stanley Cup parade on Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C. where an estimated 100,000 fans attended.
In honor of the big win, we thought it would be only right to post an Ovechkin throwback clip with Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors) for you guys to enjoy. In this clip from 2009, Ovechkin is cornered in by Chris Cooley and Antwaan Randle El in the locker room. Both Cooley and Randle El played for the Washington Redskins at the time. Ovechkin put a helmet on and told the guys that he too could play football. The guys put Ovechkin to the test but clearly he wasn’t fit for the NFL. Perhaps he’ll stick to hockey. Watch the clip below to see for yourself!

June is off to a great start! Last week, Easterns Automotive Group was joined by some players from the Washington Redskins to shoot a new commercial. Eastern Motors commercials at this point are renowned and celebrated across the world. Each year these commercials seem to take on a life of their own and get the people talking. Larry Michael, the Voice of the Redskins, came by to chat with the players about their experience filming with Easterns. He was joined by Josh Norman, Alex Smith, Ryan Kerrigan, and Jamison Crowder. However, this is not Norman’s and Kerrigan’s first rodeo. The two have been a part of the Easterns All Star team since 2016 along with Kirk Cousins before he got traded to the Minnesota Vikings. Smith and Crowder on the other hand are newbies. All of the guys were excited to shoot and had a fun time welcoming Smith to the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Let’s just say excited can’t even begin to describe how we feel going into the 2018 Redskins season. These guys are ready to win it all. This upcoming series of commercials just may be the best yet. Stay tuned for what is coming in the next few months. We’ll be bringing you the news first!

Guess what day it is? Thursday! This means that it is time for another Throwback Thursday Clip of the week presented by Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors). In 2016, upon his arrival to the DMV area to play for the Washington Redskins, Josh Norman became a part of the Easterns All Star team with Ryan Kerrigan and Kirk Cousins. Norman has shot a variety of commercials since then but this clip is one that stuck out. During a 2016 Washington Redskins game against the Cleveland Browns, Norman pretended to shoot an imaginary bow and arrow in the air to celebrate his interception. He was flagged and fined $10,000 by the NFL because they felt that the gesture simulated violence. The discussion grew when former New Orleans Saints player, Brandin Cooks was thrown into the mix since he has been doing the gesture for years and has never been penalized. Norman felt that the NFL organization was singling him out and making an example out of him.
In the Throwback Thursday clip, Norman is shown attempting to do the same bow and arrow celebration but was stopped by someone yelling, “No!” It was a fun skit to remake because there was never any harm meant in the first place. Norman is not a violent person nor does he condone that type of behavior so for it was just strange for people to imply violence behind the celebratory gesture. In fact, Norman is one of the few players to start his very own foundation in DC “Starz24” to help support children in the local community. Click Here to find out more about Josh Norman’s Starz24 foundation.
Easterns fans! Redskins fans! We are back with another Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week. This week, we have a clip from 2016 starring Redskins linebacker and number 91, Ryan Kerrigan. He shot this particular clip as well as a series of others both individually and with the help of his teammates Kirk Cousins and Josh Norman. The overall goal of this clip was for Kerrigan to explain to fans and viewers what hard work means to him pertaining to his football career. With Kerrigan having to endure so much throughout his career, he definitely understands the importance of sacrifice, consistency, and work ethic. This partnership with Kerrigan made sense because Easterns sells cars to the hard working men and women of the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. These are the folks that can definitely relate to working hard and fighting to achieve what they want! Easterns has 6 stores located conveniently throughout the DMV area – with a brand new location in Alexandria, Virginia (611 S Pickett St). Please feel free to stop by and visit!
It’s that time of the week! We are back with another Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week presented by Easterns Automotive Group. This week, we have chosen to highlight none other than the cornerback for the Washington Redskins, Josh Norman. Easterns recruited Norman for commercials shortly after he signed his $75 million dollar deal with the Redskins. A deal that made him the highest paid cornerback in NFL history at the time. In this clip, Norman discusses the importance of believing yourself and working hard to overcome any fear or doubt. This is something that anyone can relate to despite their gender, race, or financial status. Norman’s teammates Kirk Cousins and Ryan Kerrigan also shot commercials both individually and together during this time. These three together make up what is known as the Easterns All Star Team.
Norman was a great addition to the Easterns family because of core values and what he represents both on and off the field. He understands the importance of hard work, dedication and being a part of the community. His reliability caused the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community to receive him with open arms. Easterns sells cars to the hard working men and women in the DMV area.
It’s time for our Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week from Easterns. This week, we have none other than former Washington Redskins player, Alfred Morris. The particular commercial being referred to was shot back in 2013 when Morris was a running back for the Redskins. Easterns recruited him during his very early days of being a Redskins player. They believed that he would be a great fit due to not only his skills on the football field but also what he represents as a person of the community. In this clip, Morris is shown working out and training for an upcoming Redskins game. Viewers are able to go behind the scenes of his training session and get a quick glimpse of the personal work ethic that it takes to be great in NFL football. The theme of hard work is universal because so many people can relate to working hard no matter what career field that they are in. Easterns sells calls to the hard working men and women of the DMV area.
Kirk Cousins of the Washington Redskins recently came to the Eastern Motors headquarters in Sterling, Virginia to film a series of commercial spot. Cousins was welcomed with open arms by the entire Easters staff. According to Joel Bassam (Director of Marketing at Easterns), “Kirk is family at this point. We absolutely love having him on board with Easterns.” Cousins even brought two of his Redskins teammates Josh Norman and Ryan Kerrigan with him to shoot their own commercials for Easterns as well. These three collectively make up what is known as Easterns All Star Team. Each of these guys has such a unique personality and sense of humor that meshes perfectly when they are all together. They each shot their own individual commercials that will be posted in the next few weeks but we first wanted to share Cousins’ 6 Seconds. This is just a brief introduction and a small preview of many come. Just know that they all bring something different to the table. Stay tuned for more!

We’re back again with another Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week from Easterns. This week, we have none other than quarterback for the Washington Redskins, Kirk Cousins. Easterns recruited Cousins to first star in their commercials back in 2016. During this same time, they also recruited Josh Norman, cornerback for Washington Redskins and Ryan Kerrigan, linebacker for the Washington Redskins. As a collective, the three players make up what is known as the Easterns All Star Team. They each starred in several commercials both individually and together as a group that are very popular amongst Redskins fans, Easterns fans, and people of the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. In this clip, Cousins tosses a football around while discussing the importance of growth and hard work as it pertains to his career. He was able to connect the dots and let the audience know that he too faces obstacles but he refuses to give up. The overall theme of the clip sent a clear message to people in the community because they too know the struggles that life brings but believe in the idea of working hard for what you want. Easterns sells cars to the hard working men and women in the DMV area.
Ryan Kerrigan of the Washington Redskins recently came to the Eastern Motors headquarters in Sterling, Virginia to film a series of commercial spots. One great thing about Kerrigan is that he’s not going to associate himself with anything that he doesn’t believe in. He is very passionate about the Easterns brand and what it represents not only people of his caliber but also those in the community. This clip is just one of a series of commercials that include not only Kerrigan but also two of his teammates, Kirk Cousins and Josh Norman. This trio makes up what is known as the Easterns All Star Team. Whenever Easterns can manage to get these guys together off the field, you can be sure there will be nothing but nonstop laughs and fun. We wanted to share this commercial first to get you all excited for the greatness that is to come. Remember, this is only the beginning … Stay tuned for more!
Happy New Year to all! We wanted to kick off our first Throwback Thursday with someone very special by the name of Santana Moss. Moss had an incredible 10 year run playing for the Washington Redskins. Many would love to say that they made atleast half of the impact that Moss on the team and the entire Redskins organization. Moss is the current host of Redskins Shop Talk on NBC Sports. He definitely stuck around way longer than his time in the league. Moss is now able to give his thoughts, opinion, and critique to current players of the Redskins as well as other NFL teams. It’s always great to hear the prospective of an actual player himself that knows the game and the feeling of being on top. This particular throwback video was shot back in 2007 during a time where you couldn’t go anywhere in the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia) area where you couldn’t go anywhere without seeing someone wearing a Moss jersey. He was and still is beloved in the community by Redskins fans which is one of the reasons beyond just his awesome skills that Easterns wanted him to star in a commercial.
In this clip, Moss is seen going back and forth with a Lamborghini that is revving its engine. Moss starts to throw out his stats to basically let the Lamborghini know who’s boss. He made brief mention of having over 300 catches and over 4,700 yards. Of course these numbers aren’t accurate to date but they were back in 2007 when the commercial was filmed. The Lamborghini continued to rev its engine and rile Moss up. Moss then challenged the Lamborghini to a race by saying, “Let’s see what you got!” He wasted no time taking off and was well in motion before the Lamborghini could get off the ground. There was no denying that Moss was one of the best in the league with his skill and his speed. An incredible talent!
Josh Norman of the Washington Redskins recently came to the Eastern Motors headquarters in Sterling, Virginia to film a series of commercial spots. He really believes in the Easterns brand and is very excited to have another family that extends beyond the Redskins organization. Of course, Norman didn’t come alone. He came with two of his teammates, Ryan Kerrigan and Kirk Cousins. The three of them collectively make up what is known as the Easterns All Star Team. Whenever Easterns can manage to get these guys together off the field, you can be sure there will be nothing but laughter and good times. They each shot their own individual commercials that will be posted in the next few weeks but we first wanted to share Norman’s 6 Seconds. This is just a brief introduction and a small preview of many come. Stay tuned for more!

It’s been a little while since our last Redskins Rides blog post. We hope that you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday with your family, friends, and loved ones. We couldn’t leave you guys hanging for long! Easterns Automotive Group has teamed up with the Washington Redskins once again for another edition of Redskins Rides. Ryan Kerrigan met with Richard at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia to get an up-close and personal look at his unique whip. Richard is the proud owner of a lime green 1936 Chevy Coach. This coach is different from a sedan in that it is a two-door and that it is much more compact in size. Richard purchased this beauty about five months ago in Nashville, Tennessee. The unusual color caught his attention and ultimately led him to make the purchase. It has a brand new 350 fuel injection under the hood as well as a pristine cream interior. It’s clear that he has a great eye for cars because this was definitely an awesome classic car purchase. We want to thank Richard for taking the time to show off his custom Redskins Rides. Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides in DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. Easterns and the Washington Redskins got you covered!
We’re back! Reporting live from Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia where we just filmed a brand new edition of Redskins Rides. Redskins Rides is brought to you by Easterns Automotive Group along with the Washington Redskins. Easterns thought that the perfect person for this segment would be defensive end, Anthony Lanier II. With Lanier being such a tall guy at 6’6”, they definitely wanted to give him a Redskins Ride that he could actually relate to. He met his match with PJ and Val. These two are the proud owners of the super spacious 2008 Ford F-350 Lariat Super Duty pickup truck. The first noticeable attribute of the truck is how high it sits off the ground. The rims and tires are huge! Val purchased the truck in stock condition a few years ago from a friend. He has spent the last three years customizing the truck to fit his tailgating needs. Since being introduced to American football by a friend, Val loves traveling in his truck to different cities and attending various NFL games. We want to thank Val and PJ for taking the time to show us their custom Redskins Ride. Stay tuned for many more Redskins Rides in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community.
Back again! This week we have a great edition of Redskins Rides in store for you all on behalf of Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors) and the Washington Redskins. This edition is very unique because it is the very first time we have featured a trike. A trike is a 3 wheeled bike in this case it’s also in the form of a motorcycle. Kari met up with Chris Thompson of the Redskins at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia to discuss her unique ride. Kari is the proud owner of a 2016 Boss Hoss 450 with a 1957 Chevy engine. It doesn’t get much more astonishing than that! The royal blue paint with the silver stripes makes it look like a beast. She gets a lot of attention on the road because most people are just blown away by the custom design and the fact that it’s a motorcycle on 3 wheels. Her favorite customization on the bike is the name “Sparkle” that she got put on the trunk. The reason she chose that name is because of her love for jewelry and sparkly items. This trike is amazing! We want to thank Kari for giving us an exclusive look at her custom ride. Stay tuned for many more Redskins Rides in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community.
A new week means we’re back to bring you a new edition of Redskins Rides presented by Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors) and the Washington Redskins. Last night the Redskins won their game over the Seahawks so of course everyone in the DMV metro area is very excited. Among those that were ecstatic was Jim, a lifelong Redskins fan. Jim met up with Chris Thompson of the Redskins at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia to discuss his very own Redskins Ride. Jim is the proud owner of a 1956 Chevy Bel Air (hard top edition). Shortly after Jim purchased the vehicle, he got it painted a custom burgundy metallic color with gold flakes in the paint. When the sun hits the paint it makes the car look so magnificent. We’ve been asking around to see if anyone has seen a Bel Air quite like Jim’s but so far the unanimous answer has been no. There are even Redskins flags on top of both windows that wave in the wind while the car is in motion. This entire project of customizing the car and making it personal has been a labor of love for Jim. It has become something that he thoroughly enjoys doing. He informed us that he has been a Redskins season ticket holder since 1967. Wow! There is no denying that Jim is a diehard Skins fan. Awesome ride! We want to thank him for giving is an exclusive look at his custom ride. Stay tuned for many more Redskins Rides in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community.
