Thousands of volunteers are preparing for the Christmas in April program to help repair the homes of Prince George's County seniors who are in need so they may live in warmth, safety, and independence. Amazed by all of the effort and work that these volunteers have put into helping others we wanted to surprise them on this helping Hands with ABC 7.

We are so grateful to be able to work with FOX5 to Pay It Forward. In this Pay It Forward we were able to say thank you the members of the First Baptist Church of Highland Park by providing care packages for all the work they are doing in the community.
We had another opportunity to Pay It Forward with FOX5 during Senior Week. This time with the Senior Line Dancing at Turkey Thicket Recreation Center. In appreciation for all they do and have done for their community, we surprised the Senior Line Dancing group members with care packages.
We partnered with FOX5 to Pay it Forward by helping support Upcounty Hub, a non-profit that has weekly drive-through food distributions and direct check-ins with those they serve. The Hub also delivers safely to the homes of those battling COVID, the elderly, the disabled, or families without transportation. We love what they are doing so we had a special surprise.
